Internships/ Co-op Placement

The museum can facilitate two internships each semester. If you’re a student who needs to fulfil hours for an internship as part of their academic requirements please contact our office at 519-736-2511 for further information.

Volunteer/Docent Program

The Park House Museum has a docent program and we are always looking for individuals who share our passion for history. Docents are an integral part of any not-for-profit museum: they are individuals who have been trained to lead tours of the museum and assist with various educational programs and events.

Dedication to volunteer work, an extraordinary appreciation for history, education of others and our community is what makes a PHM docent successful and essential. We are Amherstburg’s community museum and want the community to be involved in our preservation process. Anyone interested in becoming a docent should contact the museum to discuss possible opportunities.

If you would like to volunteer in any capacity, please complete our volunteer form, call us at 519-736-2511, or email us at curator@parkhousemuseum.com or visit us.
