Explore and Learn

Step back in time and explore over 250 years of history. Whether you’re a curious student, a seasoned senior or simply someone who appreciates cultural heritage, we have something special for you.

If you are a teacher check out our resources and experiences especially designed for you on our page Resources For Teachers and Educators.

Self-Guided Tours

Take a leisurely stroll through our beautifully preserved rooms and discover the stories of the past. Each corner of the Park House Museum holds secrets waiting to be unveiled. As you wander, imagine life in the 1850s — the creak of wooden floors, the flicker of candlelight and the echoes of conversations from generations ago. Our self-guided tours allow you to set your own pace and immerse yourself in history.

Please let us know if there is an accessibility issue with the stair-only access to the second floor.  We will be happy to bring the resources to the main floor.

Experiences

For those seeking a more interactive adventure, we offer a chance to experience life in the past hands-on. Join our knowledgeable curator and volunteers as they guide you through the process of churning butter or preparing traditional dishes. Feel the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands, just as people did in the past. These hands-on activities provide a unique glimpse into the daily lives of those who once called the Park House home.
